The Anderson Police Department Volunteer Patrol is comprised of men and women who are interested in helping the police department provide services to City of Anderson residents.
Volunteers perform a variety of tasks including working in the office, helping with community events, providing additional manpower for emergencies, and patrolling City streets.
Volunteers receive training in police procedures and are provided uniforms and additional equipment as required. Volunteers work under the supervision of a police sergeant and police officer.
Service with the Volunteer Patrol offers insight into how the community is served through the police department and allows individuals interested in law enforcement careers an opportunity to interface with police personnel and gain valuable experience.
Volunteer Patrol members must be at least 18 years of age; pass a background investigation, and have a valid California driver’s license.
